How serious is the burn problem in Nepal? According to the statistics of the Ministry of Health and Population, about 57 thousand Nepalis are affected by burns every year. According to the World Health Organization, about 2,100 of these people have lost their lives. This data is enough to understand how serious the problem of burning is.
Many of us are confused about what to do immediately if we get burned by fire, electrocution, hot liquids, various chemicals such as acid and alkali.
What to do with irritation?
In case of burns caused by various accidents, the first treatment is to do it immediately . Like, if the body is on fire, you will not run away in panic, but if you fall on the ground, the fire can be extinguished . If the fire does not go out after doing this, cover it with a thick blanket or cloth and put it out.
After extinguishing the fire, the burnt part should be placed in cold running water as quickly as possible. By doing this, the water will absorb the heat and prevent the wound from deepening . In case of chemical burns, it has to be kept in running water for hours. However, ice should not be placed on the burn. Turmeric, turmeric, ghee, dung, Dantmanjan, Nauni also cannot be used . After moistening the burnt part, cover the wound with a clean cloth or plastic and go to the nearest hospital. If it takes a few hours to get to the hospital On the way, you have to drink life water or water. If available, an ointment such as silver sulfadiazine or neomycin may be applied to the wound .
What kind of burn is serious?

How to take care of burn wounds ?
Burn injuries should be treated for a long time . Bathe every day, apply coconut oil on the healed skin. The itching in burns can last for about 6 months and gradually subsides . Keeping the skin clean and moisturizing will reduce itching. Can be massaged on raised spots . It should not be done by picking or rubbing the healed skin as it may cause blisters. Burnt areas should not be exposed to the sun until the skin remains red. Otherwise the skin will burn and turn black. Even when it is cloudy, the skin should be protected from ultraviolet rays .
Heartburn patients should take care
Even though burn wounds heal from the outside, its effects remain for a long time . Therefore, wear long clothes, caps, umbrellas and stay in the sun without exposing the burning part to direct sunlight. Should not go . If there is irritation in the joints, nose, mouth, eyes, throat, the rash can shrink . Exercises can be done to prevent this from happening. A scar that is not deep doesn't stay . A deep scar remains . Scars ointments and medicines cannot be removed . Surgery is required to remove the scar. Heartburn patients should not eat food. Foods rich in protein such as fish, meat, and eggs should be eaten in quantity.
