The government has said that the treatment services for heart and cancer diseases will be extended to the provincial level. Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel, while presenting the budget in the Parliament, announced that the treatment of heart and cancer diseases will be expanded in all 7 provinces.

Special services will be expanded with skilled doctors and modern equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of non-communicable diseases such as high blood pressure, heart, kidney, liver, cancer, etc., he said.

Every year in the month of February, arrangements will be made to screen for non-communicable diseases, and the supply of medicines that will be provided free of charge from basic hospitals will be facilitated, he said. It is mentioned in the budget that the arrangements for keeping the records of distributed medicines and making them public will be arranged. Two billion 60 million has been allocated for free medicines.
