Lahan municipality is going to conduct a large free eye camp this year as well. For this, on Tuesday, Mayor Mahesh Prasad Chaudhary and Sagarmatha Chaudhary Eye Hospital President Rabindralal Chaudhary signed the agreement.
The hospital run by Nepal Netrajyoti Sangh It is excellent for eye treatment services. According to the agreement, the municipality will bear the cost of surgery for patients diagnosed with cataracts in the camp.
'We have been organizing free eye camps every year. Accordingly, now a camp will be organized in Vadawada,' Mayor Chaudhary said, 'I believe that the camp will benefit the poor and disadvantaged communities here.'
Mayor Choudhary informed that the camp will be conducted in the villages within a few days and the goal is to perform surgery on 1000 cataract patients.
According to Mayor Choudhary, the camp has been conducted in this way for the past two years and in the first year, seven thousand people underwent eye examination and one thousand and ninety-two patients diagnosed with cataract underwent free surgery.
Likewise, in the second year, 700 patients who were diagnosed with cataracts underwent free surgery when 3,000 people had their eyes checked.
Rabindralal, the president of the hospital, said that free eye camps will help the poor and needy communities who live without treatment due to lack of money in the winter.
