The District Administration Office, Kaski, has urged the general public not to operate vehicles at night due to the possibility of very heavy rain on Saturday and Sunday and to adopt high alertness.
Based on the weather forecast of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority and the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the administration has issued an urgent notice and requested to adopt various precautions to minimize the loss of life and property due to possible floods, landslides and inundation. According to the administration, there is a possibility of heavy rain in the central and western regions of Nepal due to the active monsoon on July 2 and 3. As there is a risk of heavy to very heavy rain in various districts of Gandaki Province, including Kaski, it has been requested not to leave the house unnecessarily and not to travel long distances.

All agencies involved in disaster preparedness and rescue have been instructed to remain on alert in coordination with the District Disaster Management Committee and the Local Disaster Management Committee.
In case of any disaster-related incident or rescue assistance is required, the administration has requested that the District Emergency Operations Center 1234, Nepal Police 100, Armed Police Force 1114 hotline or local administration and people's representatives be informed immediately.
