Palungtar Municipality has provided group accident insurance for 4,582 students studying in community schools.
An agreement regarding accident insurance has been reached between the municipality and IGI Prudential Insurance Limited. According to the agreement, the students will receive group accident insurance for one year.
The service was launched on Wednesday after Chief Administrative Officer of the municipality Sher Bahadur Bisi and a representative of the insurance company signed the agreement. The agreement states that each student will be eligible for accident insurance coverage of up to 70,000 rupees. The insurance premium per student is set at 105 rupees, with an additional ticket fee of 20 rupees. This amount will be paid by the municipality.
The municipality stated that the insurance program has been implemented with the aim of reducing the financial risks that may arise from accidents for all students studying in the schools.
