The service of a municipal-level basic hospital has been started by upgrading the Gaikhur Health Post Bhotekate located in Palungtar Municipality-6.

The municipal-level basic hospital was inaugurated by Mayor Bivas Chintan and Deputy Mayor Vandana Pandey.
The health institution of Bhotekate has been developed as a basic hospital with the aim of providing basic health services to the city residents in an easy, accessible and quality manner.

The hospital has been staffed with 10 health workers, including a medical officer. Senior AHEB Ramlal Shrestha said that the locals of wards 5 to 10 will benefit from the hospital. ‘The hospital currently has 7 beds, and we are planning to increase it to 15 beds,’ he said.

He said that OPD, lab, X-ray and other services will be provided from the hospital. Mayor Chintan said that the city residents will receive free and convenient health services from the hospital.
