Dialysis services have been expanded at Dhaulagiri Hospital due to the increasing daily demand. The hospital, which currently serves 64 people daily, has expanded the room to accommodate 20 more people.

In addition to regular dialysis, about 20 to 30 people have to wait in line, and some have to go to Pokhara and private hospitals due to lack of service. The hospital has expanded the room with an investment of Rs 2 million.

According to the hospital's Medical Superintendent Dr. Kiran Tiwari, work is underway to expand the current dialysis room. The hospital, which has planned to expand the service after the number of kidney patients is increasing, has been provided funds to build the room.

The hospital's chairman, Shri Prasad Sharma, said that the service has been expanded by using zinc and aluminum on the current room for the time being. He said that the service was expanded after the hospital received a grant from the Gandaki Provincial Government to provide enough beds as per the requirement and at least 5 to 6 machines.

Sharma informed that 150 beds have already been put into operation as part of the campaign to build 200 beds.

The hospital has three buildings. After those buildings were not enough, the dialysis service was brought into operation using the building with the lab of the old building. Sharma informed that it will be even easier after adding at least 6 machines.

Dhaulagiri Hospital also has regular operation services with specialist doctors. More than 50 snakebite patients, more than 400 dengue patients and more than 80 dialysis patients are being treated here every year.
