According to the District Police Office, Kaski, a video of an intellectually disabled person from Lekhnath, Pokhara Metropolitan City-32, trying to stop a public vehicle without stopping was made public on social media. The person had posted the video with the aim of drawing the attention of the concerned body.
Expressing serious concern over the incident, the District Police Office, Kaski, had written to the District Traffic Police Office, Kaski, for necessary investigation and action.
According to the police, during the investigation, the public bus with number Ga2Kha 2255 was taken under control and the necessary traffic fine was imposed. In addition, the driver and the concerned parties have been reminded to give special priority to persons with disabilities and senior citizens in the coming days.
After the representative of the vehicle committed to adopting special sensitivity towards such persons in the future, the police stated that the vehicle was released after completing the necessary procedures.
