Six people were injured when an ambulance and a mini truck collided with each other in Myagde Rural Municipality of the district along the Prithvi Highway at 6:20 am on Thursday. One of the six injured in the accident that took place in Myagde-6 Manahari is in critical condition.

Police have said that a mini truck (Ga 1 Kha 5659) coming from Pokhara towards Damauli and an ambulance (Lu.Pr.01-001 Jha 0046) going from the opposite direction collided with each other.

The ambulance driver, Kushal Pariyar, 24, a resident of Thawang Rural Municipality-2 of Rolpa, Junrakhi Budha Magar, 61, of the same place, Anjana Budha Magar, 25, and Yuvan Budha Magar, 36, Chijmaya Gharti, a resident of Bhume Rural Municipality-7 of East Rukum, and Dhanprasad Budha Magar, 60, of Thawang Rural Municipality-2 of Rolpa, were injured in the accident.

Among the injured, driver Pariyar and Junrakhi Budha Magar are undergoing treatment at GP Koirala National Respiratory Treatment Center, Jharauta. Police have stated that Anjana Budha Magar has suffered injuries to her face, chest, head and right leg and her condition is critical. Along with Anjana, Yuvan Budha Magar, Chijmaya Gharti and Dhan Prasad Budha Magar are undergoing treatment at the Provincial Hospital Damauli.

The driver of the mini truck, Mahendra Ranabhat, 38, a resident of Myagde Rural Municipality-2, Tanahu, was also injured in the accident. Police have stated that detailed details of his injuries are yet to be received.

The District Police Office, Tanahu, has stated that further investigation into the accident is underway.
