Pokhara Multiple Campus is organizing a two-day national research conference on ‘Emerging Trends in Management and Social Sciences’ on 15 and 16 Jestha.

This community campus, which started its educational journey from the old Tundikhel in 2044, is organizing such a conference for the first time with the aim of strengthening its institutional structure and promoting research culture. It was informed at a press conference organized on Wednesday that the conference will be held with the support of the University Grants Commission and in collaboration with Pokhara University, Gandaki University, Shinawatra University of Thailand and Mukta Foundation Nepal.

The campus has stated that 78 researchers from 7 universities and 21 campuses of three countries including Nepal will participate in the conference and 54 research papers of various genres will be presented.

The conference will have in-depth discussions on contemporary issues such as green management, digital banking, sustainable finance, human resource management, local governance, social and cultural transformation, public policy and environmental justice. This campus, which has already received the Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA) certificate from the University Grants Commission (UGC) in 2082, has taken this step by prioritizing research and knowledge production along with teaching and learning. conference, claimed that this conference will prove to be a milestone in connecting academic debate with society and industry. 'It is our belief that educational institutions should not be limited to classroom teaching alone but should become centers of research and knowledge production,' he said. 'The main objective of this conference is to strengthen collaboration between universities, communities and industry by facilitating policy dialogue on contemporary issues in management and social sciences.' conference will be attended by national and international educationists, policy makers, industrialists, businessmen, representatives of the banking sector and social leaders. The inaugural session and various academic sessions will be attended by Gandaki University Chancellor Prof. Dr. Indra Prasad Tiwari, Registrar of the Faculty of Management, Tribhuvan University Prof. Dr. Mahananda Chalise and Associate Professor of Shinawatra University, Thailand, Dr. Thankorn Thanathanchuchot will participate as special guests.

Similarly, in a special debate focusing on higher education, economic development, banking and social transformation, Prof. Dr. Lekhnath Bhattarai, former president of Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry Bishwa Shankar Palikhe and Chief Executive Officer of Green Development Bank Hari Budhathoki have been scheduled to give their opinions as experts.

Campus Head Associate Professor Shishu Kala Parajuli expressed confidence that this conference will give a new direction to the academic heights of the campus. 'We have overcome various challenges and have even achieved QAA certification by constructing our own building,' she said, 'This conference will not only develop research culture, but will also draw a roadmap for how the academic sector should contribute to policymaking.'
