A man from Harinas Rural Municipality-6 of Syangja has been arrested on charges of raping a 12-year-old girl.
The police said that the 28-year-old man was arrested on Jestha 20 after a complaint was filed against him for raping the girl.
According to the police, the incident took place at around 11 pm on Jestha 20. District Police Chief Dadhiram Neupane said that an investigation is underway against the arrested man for the crime of rape after obtaining a five-day remand from the District Court of Syangja.
