Five members of the same family were injured in a road accident that occurred on Saturday in Devchuli on the Mahendra Highway in eastern Nawalparasi.
The accident occurred when a car (Ba 18 Ch 3323) coming from Narayangadh towards Butwal collided with an 'untested' JCB in Devchuli Municipality-16 of the district.
According to the District Police Office, Nawalpur, the car driver, Sagar Gyawali, 34, of Butwal Sub-metropolitan City-11, the driver's mother, Kamala Gyawali, 56, his wife Ansu Poudel, their three-year-old son Ayan Gyawali, and their 10-month-old son, Vedaksh Gyawali, were injured in the accident.
According to the police, the car collided with the JCB while trying to save a motorcycle crossing the road. The injured have been taken to New Medical College, Bharatpur for treatment.
