Crop science has been taught at Tribhuvan Secondary School in Badigad-2, Kharbang of the district for a decade. The subject was chosen to connect students from rural areas with agriculture. The school has prepared to conduct classes on skill development and self-employment-oriented technical education from this time.

Principal Dhalmani Bhandari said that students are being made to earn money by providing three-month training from the current academic session. 'When secondary school students are connected to informal technical education, they become self-employed,' he said, 'Therefore, now polytechnic education is necessary in every municipality.'

Earlier, this school was listed under the government's plan to open a technical school in one constituency. However, he said that a single subject did not meet the needs of the market and society. He said that the training is being conducted because the government has not managed the budget for polytechnic schools. ‘Youth want to join the means of earning,’ he said, ‘Technical does not mean studying and then going for a job, it means earning on your own.’ He said that since educational certificates alone cannot earn, they are going to join self-employment training. For that, the school has made a plan to immediately provide skills like automobiles, electrics, and electronics.

For the long-term plan, he said that it will connect with the Ministry of Education and add more technical education. The school has a plan to add formal education in necessary fields including civil engineering. Last Mangsir, the school collected nearly Rs 30 million by organizing a Mahayagya. Bhandari said that short-term education will be started immediately from the budget and long-term teaching will be conducted after connecting with state resources.

The Shrimad Bhagwat Dhandhanyanchal Sapta Mahayagya was organized from Mangsir 21 to 28 to prepare a course for school management. The plan is to start this campaign from the next academic session by adding other donors to the amount collected at that time. Preparations are underway to make the school a zone of skilled technical production by contracting with CTEVT and other sectors.

Tribhuvan Mavi, established in 2017, has celebrated its 66th anniversary. The anniversary, celebrated as the Diamond Jubilee, has also led to the decision to build a multi-technical school. The school's physical infrastructure was built with the Rs 8 million collected ten years ago during its Golden Jubilee, and private teachers were hired through the Akshaya Kosh to teach English medium, computer labs and crop science.

The school management committee chairman Bishnu Bhusal said that the aim is to increase the amount collected from other donors in the Maha Yagya and start a multi-technical program through the Akshaya Kosh of Rs 50 million. Utilizing that fund, not only Badigad Rural Municipality but also Galkot and Musikot areas of Gulmi will be made attractive educational destinations. There are 1,187 students studying in the school. Out of 52 teachers, only 16 are permanent.
