Construction entrepreneurs in Gorkha have demanded an immediate declaration of a 'state of emergency' in the construction industry, saying that the increase in fuel prices at a time when construction work is in full swing is causing an economic burden.

The association has demanded an emergency declaration to provide relief to entrepreneurs.

The association's president, Surya Bahadur Bhandari, said that the construction industry has come to a standstill due to the repeated price increases in fuels including diesel, petrol, and kerosene used in the construction industry.

The association has also warned that construction work will stop completely if the situation continues like this.
