Kaski Police have taken 18 people into custody from the premises of the Transport Management Office, Kaski. They were arrested outside the office on suspicion of playing the role of middlemen, claiming to facilitate services including blue book renewal.
According to SP Navin Karki, Chief of the District Police Office, Kaski, 17 of the arrested people have been released. He said that they were released after it was found that they had obtained licenses legally after completing accounting services.
'They have been released on the condition that they are not allowed to enter the office premises or search the rooms,' he said, 'Necessary investigation and action have been taken against the remaining one.'
