The 'Second WADA Auto Show-2026' has started from Wednesday at Barahighat in Lakeside here. Organized by the Western Automobile Dealers Association (WADA) and presented by NADA, the fair, which will run until Chaitra 15, was inaugurated by Gandaki Province's Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development and Transport Management Prakash KC. Speaking at the inaugural session, Minister KC discussed the contribution of the automobile sector to revenue and employment. WADA Chairman Dipendra Koirala clarified the objective of the fair and said, 'Our main goal is to bring auto entrepreneurs under one roof and create a comfortable business environment and support domestic tourism in Pokhara.'
16 brands of four-wheelers, 6 brands of light commercials and 10 brands of two-wheelers are on display in 20 stalls at the fair. In particular, customer attraction towards electric vehicles (EVs) seems to have increased. On the occasion of the fair, Suzuki's official distributor CG MotoCorp has opened bookings for its first premium electric vehicle 'Suzuki e-Vitara', with a starting price of Rs 49 lakh 99 thousand.
Elite Motors has unveiled Omoda & Jaco's much-awaited 'Jaco J6T' at Auto Soma. The promotional price of this vehicle, which is claimed to provide 220 Nm of torque and 431 km of range, is Rs 66 lakh 99 thousand. The latest models of famous brands including Hyundai, BYD, Tata, Kia, MG, Yamaha and TVS are also available at the fair.
Another main attraction of the exhibition is 40-year-old 'vintage' cars and modern robotics. With the help of Anandaraj Batas, the owner of Batas Brothers, 10 vintage vehicles are on display, while state-of-the-art robots like the Uni Tree G-One humanoid are giving the audience a taste of new technology.
According to Shiva Shrestha, Senior Vice President and Program Coordinator of WADA, discounts ranging from Rs 50,000 to Rs 100,000 have been arranged for purchasing vehicles during the fair, as well as special discounts on insurance and accessories. The organizers believe that around 45,000 auto enthusiasts will visit the exhibition, which will last for five days.
