A man has died in a road accident in Gaindakot along the Mahendra Highway. According to the District Police Office, 58-year-old Krishna Kandel of Gaindakot Municipality-13 died in the accident.
Kandel was seriously injured when a bus (Bagmati Province 01-006 Kha 7463) heading from Delhi to Kathmandu hit a scooter (Bagmati Province 03-04 Pa 640) on Wednesday afternoon.
Kandel was sent to the New Medical College in Bharatpur after sustaining a head injury, but died during treatment, according to the police.
