After the high number of Japanese encephalitis infections in eastern Nawalparasi, a free vaccination campaign against Japanese encephalitis has been underway across the district since Falgun 29.

Vaccination is being carried out in a big way through basic health centers and vaccination centers in the ward.
The target of vaccinating 150,000 people in the district is 150,000, according to the Provincial Public Health Office, Nawalpur.
Doctors say that the disease is transmitted to humans when mosquitoes bite ducks, birds, and guinea pigs infected with Japanese encephalitis influenza.
