The driver died after being hit by a jeep moving behind him while starting his parked jeep.
The driver, Kumar Gurung, 29, of neighboring village Thulakhet, died in an accident on Tuesday morning on the inner road section of Lamidanda, Dordi Rural Municipality-4, Lamjung.
The police received information about the accident at around 11:20 am and was brought to the Provincial Hospital in Besisahar, Lamjung at around 12:50 pm. The doctor declared him dead at around 1:05 pm, according to the police.
According to the police, the Balero jeep (number Ga 1 Ja 7092) was parked near the building of the mother's group and the accident occurred when the jeep suddenly moved behind him while starting the jeep and was taking the hay.
According to the police, the driver Gurung suffered serious injuries to his chest and both hands after being hit by the rear part of the jeep. The injured Gurung was immediately taken to the Provincial Hospital in Lamjung for treatment in the same jeep.
Police Inspector Abhishek Pandey of the District Police Office said that further investigation into the incident is underway.
