The counting of votes in Syangja-2 has not yet begun. The controversy arose after 171 ballot papers were found without the signature of the polling officer at the Baljyoti Basic School polling station in Waling Municipality-10.
Voting was stopped for some time yesterday due to the controversy. Later, after an all-party agreement was reached at the polling station, the voting was resumed.
However, the counting process has now been affected due to this issue. Discussions are underway between the stakeholders at the District Administration Office to resolve the dispute.
The District Election Office has stated that the counting of votes has been delayed due to the Election Commission's decision being awaited.
