In the House of Representatives elections, there is a tight competition between the National Independent Party (NISP) and the CPN-UML in Syangja, while the Nepali Congress is in third place. Similarly, the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) is in fourth place.
Dhanjaya Regmi is the candidate from the NISP, Min Prasad Gurung from the UML, Bharatraj Dhakal from the Nepali Congress, and Shailendra Ghimire from the CPN.
The counting of votes began at 1 am on Friday.
According to the preliminary results of Harinas Rural Municipality that have been made public so far, the election symbol of the NISP, the bell, has received 2,202 votes, while the UML's sun has received 2,202 votes. The Nepali Congress' tree has received 1,804 votes.
Similarly, the star symbol has received 166 votes.
Initially, the counting of votes in Harinas Rural Municipality was conducted. The Central Election Office has stated that the counting of votes in Arjunchaupari Rural Municipality has now begun.
