The counting of votes for the House of Representatives elections is ongoing in the district. In the counting that began at 12 noon on Friday, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) candidate Sagar Bhusal is leading with a wide margin.

Out of 25,000 votes counted so far, Bhusal has received 11,111 votes. The counting is being done ward-wise and he has maintained his lead in most of the wards counted so far.

Similarly, Nepali Congress candidate Arjun Prasad Joshi has received 6,048 votes, while CPN-UML candidate Padam Giri has received 5,480 votes. Similarly, Nepali Communist Party candidate Manahari Sharma has received 1,257 votes.

The counting of votes is being done at four places and will continue throughout the night, informed Chief District Officer Laxmi Prasad Poudel. According to him, the final results of the election are expected to be announced by tomorrow morning.

This time, 53.18 percent of the votes were cast in Parbat. Out of a total of 125,466 voters in the district, 66,727 votes were cast. Out of which 32,211 were female and 35,216 were male voters.
