All preparations for voting in Kaski district for the House of Representatives elections have been completed. Construction work has been completed at 153 polling stations and 365 polling stations in the district for the voting, which will begin at 7 am on Thursday.

There are a total of 38,572 voters in the three constituencies of Kaski, which has a large number of female voters. Of these, 160,153 are female and 148,415 are male voters.

A total of 49 candidates, including 18 political parties and 6 independents, are in the fray for the election across the district. 16 parties and 1 independent are in constituency 1, 12 parties and 5 independents are in constituency 2, and 15 candidates are in the fray for constituency 3. Apart from the general public, two temporary polling stations have been arranged at the District Jail for 33 prison inmates and at the District Coordination Committee for 2,800 employees.

Keeping in mind the security sensitivity, the administration has prepared a security plan by keeping 56 polling stations as highly sensitive, 54 as sensitive, and 43 as general. 1,042 Nepal Police, 1,997 Election Police, 630 Nepal Army, and 944 Armed Police Force (APF and Election Police) have been mobilized for security.

Nepal Police and Election Police will be deployed in the first perimeter to secure the polling station, while Armed Police Force and Nepal Army will be deployed in the outer perimeter. According to Assistant Chief District Officer Chitrangat Baral, there will be a company-level command force and mobile team of the Nepal Army in each constituency, which has been arranged to reach the relevant site within 15 minutes if necessary.

To make the election organized, Nepal Police has deployed two mobile teams in rural municipalities and four in the metropolis under the command of an inspector, while 24 mobile teams, 9 striking teams and 3 security bases of the Armed Police Force have been kept.

In addition, the army's bomb disposal team has been kept ready for emergencies. Separate lines have been arranged for women, men and the disabled at the polling station. 2,184 employees and 1,092 volunteers have been mobilized in Kaski to complete the entire election process.
