Women, from staff to police, have been deployed at two polling stations in Lamjung for the House of Representatives elections to be held on Falgun 21. Women staff and police have been deployed at both the Janvikas Secondary School (A) and (B) centers in Besisahar Bazaar, Besisahar Municipality 7, which is the district headquarters.

There are 588 voters in Janvikas (A) and 637 voters in (B). According to Chief Election Officer Shishir Raj Dhakal, Integrated Service Office Chief Mita Kumari Thapa has been assigned as polling officers in (A) center and Madhya Nepal Municipality officer Manju Thapa Magar has been assigned as polling officers in (B) center.

Assistant Polling Officer Melina Khadka of Veterinary Hospital and Animal Service Office in Center (A), Sita Thapa Panthi, Shanti Gurung, Laxmi Rimal as assistant staff and Yochini Gurung as support staff.

Assistant Polling Officer Chandra Kumari Gurung of Marsyangdi Rural Municipality in Center (B), Sarita Tharu, Babita Bishwakarma, Radha Gyawali as assistant staff and Shila Kumari Shrestha as support staff are the polling officers. The polling officer will be allowed to appoint 3 support staff and these staff will also be women, informed Assistant Election Officer Rambandhu Gautam. Out of a total of 137,124 voters in Lamjung, 69,524 are women and 67,600 are men. The number of female voters is 1,924 more than that of men. Compared to the 2079 BS House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly elections, the number of voters this time has increased by 3,407. In the previous election, there were 133,717 voters.
