The road has reopened after four days of snowfall in the Upper Manang region of the Himalayan district of Manang.

After a week, heavy snowfall on Tuesday caused problems in the Dhikur Pokhari to Upper Manang area.

According to Manang Ngisyang Rural Municipality Vice-Chairman Tshiring Gurung, the snow from the Dhikur Pokhari foothills to the upper Manang area has been removed using excavators from the hydropower project. He also said that the road has been fully operational for those visiting Manang, which was covered in snow.

According to Manang Chief District Officer Nawaraj Paudyal, the road was opened with the cooperation and coordination of the administration, police, rural municipality, and hydropower project. "There are very few people walking on the road now. There is a shortage of machinery and equipment in Manang, and even if the equipment is available, there is a shortage of operators. We have opened the road with the cooperation of the hydropower project," he said.

According to him, with the opening of the road, it has become easier for locals and tourists going to Upper Manang as well as Thorangla Pass.
