Earlier, there was snowfall on Kartik 10 and 11, but there was no snowfall in Mangsir and Poush months. Khangsar, Manang Village, Tanki Manang Village, Ghyaru, Ngawal and other villages in Upper Manang were covered with snow, informed Sagar Gurung, a local of Manang.

According to Umakanta Sapkota, Accountant of Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) Manang, snowfall is still ongoing. He said that tourists on the Annapurna Circular Trek have been stopped from going to their destinations. 'There are not that many tourists right now. There is snow towards the tourist destinations Tilicho and Thorangla. We have asked tourists not to go to their destinations until the snowfall stops,' he said.
