Anushka Pariyar, 21, of Bogatigaun, Palungtar Municipality-3, has died after being beaten by her husband. Anushka was left unconscious after being beaten by her husband Shankar Sunar on Thursday.

After the incident, a police team from the Area Police Office Thantipokhari took Pariyar to Aanpipal Hospital for treatment. Anushka died during treatment, said SP Bharat BK, Chief of Police at the District Police Office, Gorkha.

He also said that the initial investigation revealed that the incident of beating was due to a family dispute. The body has been brought to Gorkha Hospital for postmortem.
