The Chumanubri Rural Municipality Office has started issuing Permanent Account Number (PAN) cards.
With the abolition of the previous Taxpayer Service Offices in the Cabinet meeting on Kartik 17, arrangements have been made to provide some of the services provided by the District Taxpayer Service Office through the Fund and Accounts Controller Office or the local level.
Accordingly, tax-related services have been provided from the local level, said Manoj Lamichhane, Chief Administrative Officer of the municipality.
The service was launched by signing a memorandum of understanding between Narayan Prasad Bhandari, Chief Tax Officer of the Internal Revenue Office, Tanahun, and the Chief Administrative Officer of the municipality on Wednesday.
Lamichhane also said that Chumanubri has become the first in the entire Gandaki Province to launch tax services with internal and commercial PAN from the rural municipality.
With the service being resumed in the municipality, the locals of Chumanubri have now been forced to come to the district headquarters to receive tax-related services.
Now the locals of Chumnubri can get services such as personal permanent account number, business permanent account number, value added tax, excise license and renewal, recommendation to the relevant Internal Revenue Office and provision of licenses, tax payment certificates, etc.
Similarly, after the abolition of the Taxpayer Service Office, tax-related services have also been started from the Treasury and Controller of Accounts Office. From Wednesday, the services that were being provided by the Taxpayer Service Office have been started from the Treasury and Controller of Accounts Office.
