Political parties have submitted their closed lists of proportional representation candidates for the elections to be held on February 21. In the closed lists submitted by the parties, new faces from Gorkha have become proportional representation candidates.

The Nepali Congress' proportional closed list includes the name of Jagat Bahadur Baram. He is a Congress general convention representative. Baram of Bhimsen Thapa Rural Municipality-1, Masel, is also the general secretary of the Democratic Indigenous Nationalities Federation close to the Congress.

Kamala Naharki has become a proportional candidate from the Nepal Communist Party (NCP). She came into the limelight after breaking out of jail in 2057 BS during the 10-year people's war waged by the then Maoists. In the 2074 BS elections, she was defeated after contesting directly from the 'K' Provincial Assembly of Gorkha Constituency No. 2. She has also become a battalion commissar and brigade commander of the People's Liberation Army and is currently a central member of the NCP. Mina Baram of Arughat-10 has become a proportional candidate from the CPN-UML. She from Arughat-10 was defeated in the 2074 local level election as a candidate for the post of municipal vice-chairperson. She is a member of the provincial committee of the CPN-UML.
