Some generations were sitting in the courtyard, playing with paint and clay. They captured the many emotions of nature and life on canvas.

On Sunday, the century-old house in Kushma, Parbat became artistic. Young to old artists gathered in one place.

They exchanged experiences and learning. They discussed the dimensions of art. Artists from Parbat, Baglung and Dhaulagiri regions participated in the 'one-day art workshop' organized by the Kushma Art Project.

The project, which is preserving the three-hundred-year-old century-old house, organized an art workshop at the same place. About two hundred students from various schools in Parbat and Kushma participated in the workshop. The students drew pictures. The senior artists observed the figures drawn on the canvas.

Project chairman RK Adipta Giri said that the workshop was organized to revive the painting genre. 'The workshop is organized to attract the new generation to painting while respecting the artists,' he said.

Since the Dhaulagiri region itself is a fertile area for art, the art activities of this region should be taken forward in a new way, said Chairman Giri. 'We have planned to collect the paintings drawn in the workshop in the Centennial House,' he said.

The project aims to develop the Centennial House as a cultural museum. The project is active in the fields of literature, art, culture, nature, tourism and heritage conservation. Devendra Thumkeli, Member Secretary of the Nepal Academy of Fine Arts, said that the workshop helped create an environment for art.

'It became an opportunity for artists to learn and teach, such activities are necessary for respect for art,' he said. 'Recently, the academy has been conducting various activities related to fine arts at the district level.' Member Secretary Thumkeli said that the academy collaborated in Kushma's workshop. He said that there are plans to organize workshops and exhibitions related to fine arts in the coming days, covering the Dhaulagiri region.
