Madhyabindu Municipality in eastern Nawalparasi has brought an eye hospital into operation. The Chormara Health Post has been upgraded to become a municipal hospital.
With the operation of the Municipal Hospital, the residents of the city no longer have to go to the district headquarters Kawasoti or Chitwan for diagnosis and treatment of eye problems.
Madhyabindu Municipality Chief Bhimlal Adhikari said that the hospital was operated to reduce eye problems of the residents.
Nepal Netrajyoti Sangh and Bharatpur Eye Hospital have collaborated to operate the hospital. The hospital was inaugurated by the Municipal Chief Adhikari on Sunday.
In the same way, the well-equipped building of Madhyabindu Municipal Hospital was also inaugurated today. The services of the Municipal Hospital have been resumed from the 15-bed hospital building, whose construction began in Kartik 2069. The Municipal Hospital building was constructed at a cost of Rs. 175.6 million.
Laboratory, maternity service, video X-ray and specialist services have also been provided at the Municipal Hospital.
