Immediate action should be taken against those involved in attacks and looting in the name of protest: Chandra Dhakal

President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Chandra Dhakal, has demanded immediate action against those involved in vandalism, arson and looting of private properties of industries, factories and industrialists and businessmen in the name of various movements including the Genji Movement.

Speaking at the 11th general assembly and sixth convention of the Nawalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, East Nawalparasi, Dhakal said this.

‘Be it the armed conflict of the Maoists, the people’s movement of 2046/63 or the Genji movement on Bhadra 23/24, the private sector is being targeted and destroyed in all of them,’ he said, ‘All those who infiltrated the Genji movement and attacked and looted industries, factories and the private sector should be taken action. We condemn the act of discouraging the private sector.’
