The metropolis honored Manipal in Pokhara on Wednesday on the occasion of its 67th foundation day.
Manipal has become the highest tax-paying business by paying Rs 36,14,150 in tax in the fiscal year 081/082. On behalf of Manipal, Director Narayan Poudel was honored by Gandaki Province Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey and Pokhara Metropolitan City Mayor Dhanraj Acharya at the main ceremony of the foundation day.
After Manipal, Pokhara Grand Pvt. Ltd. has paid Rs 2,184,186, Mahesh Bahadur Bhattarai Rs 1,114,126, Employees Provident Fund Rs 1,093,870, Gandaki Medical College Rs 1,038,611 and Hotel Shangri-La Village Rs 6,07,535. They have paid the amount to the metropolis for land revenue, property and business tax. Taxpayers who pay taxes regularly were also honored on the occasion of the foundation day.
