27th Pokhara Street Festival from December 13

The Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal (REBAN) Pokhara is gearing up for the Street Festival to be held on the occasion of the English New Year. Like previous years, the 27th edition of the festival will be held from 13th to 17th of February at a 3.5-kilometer stretch of the lakeside along the banks of Fewa Lake, it was informed at a press conference held on Thursday.

With the aim of promoting food, culture and music, the festival is welcoming the English New Year in Pokhara with the slogan 'Eat on the street, enjoy on the street'. 

Festival coordinator Basanta Gautam said that the festival's attractions include endangered cultural tableaus of various ethnic groups of Nepal, original costumes, traditional dances, indigenous and foreign dishes, live concerts, folk duets, adventure and sports activities. 

He said that there will be waiter races, tough wars, boat races on Fewa Lake and other sports activities aimed at tourists. He informed that there will also be interactions on the opportunities and challenges of Pokhara's tourism, documentary exhibitions and photo exhibitions. 

He claims that the festival has succeeded in establishing Pokhara as a major destination for the English New Year.
