The district police have taken into custody two tractors used for illegal mining and transportation of riverine materials in Phedikhola rural municipality.

According to the police, both tractors were seized during a routine patrol around 4:30 pm on Wednesday. The tractors, bearing the numbers G.1.T 7133 and G.1.T 5418, were seized while they were digging stones and gravel from the border area connecting Setikhola and Bhotkhola, informed District Police Chief Dadhiram Neupane. 

The team was deployed based on information that the river's resources were being exploited illegally. 

The police have handed over the seized tractor and the person to the Phedikhola Rural Municipality Office for necessary investigation and legal action.
