A pedestrian has died after being hit by a motorcycle at Dhalebar Chowk in Syauli, Rainas Municipality-6, Lamjung.
Police said that a motorcycle bearing the number Na 48 Pa 3077 coming from Satbise towards Dhamilikuwa hit 68-year-old Maiti Kumari Tamang at around 3:40 pm on Monday.
Tamang, who was seriously injured in the collision, was immediately taken to Sahodar Community Hospital, Dhamilikuwa for treatment. However, doctors declared her dead during treatment.
A police team deployed at the spot has taken the motorcycle and the driver under control and is conducting necessary investigations with a warrant, said Police Inspector Abhishek Pandey, Information Officer at the District Police Office, Lamjung.
