Construction of a motorable bridge begins at Ludikhola

Construction of a motorable bridge has begun at Ludikhola along the Syauli Bazaar-Bhattphant-Manakamana road section leading to Manakamana Temple. The foundation stone of the motorable bridge, which will be built at a cost of Rs 75.93 crore, was laid by Gandaki Province Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey on Friday.

With the construction of the motorable bridge at Ludikhola in Bhattaphant, it is expected that it will be easier to drive vehicles from Syauli Bazaar to Manakamana throughout the year. Ganeshkund Infrastructure and Builders has been given the responsibility of constructing the bridge. The contractor company, which signed the contract for the construction of the bridge on Asho 25, aims to complete the construction of the bridge by Asad 2084. 

The bridge will be constructed using pre-cast, T-beam technology, according to the Infrastructure Office Gorkha. Ganesh Subedi, Chief of the Infrastructure Office Gorkha, said that with the construction of the bridge, it will be easier for the locals of Gorkha Municipality and Shahid Lakhan Rural Municipality. It will be easier for the locals of Shahid Lakhan Rural Municipality to reach the district headquarters, Gorkha Bazaar and Kathmandu. 

Similarly, it is expected that it will be easier for the farmers of Shahid Lakhan Rural Municipality to reach the market. Indira Tiwari, Vice President of Shahid Lakhan Rural Municipality, said that the construction of the bridge will be very convenient for the locals. She also demanded that the provincial government manage the budget for the blacktop of the road leading to Manakamana along with the construction of the bridge. 

She said that the rural municipality will also provide support for the speedy completion of the bridge construction.
