The Besisahar-Chame road, which was blocked by a landslide in Taldanda, Nason Rural Municipality-1, Manang, has been reopened after about 7 hours.

The road was blocked after a landslide occurred around 7 am on Friday and a large rock fell while clearing the road. According to Chief District Officer Nawaraj Paudyal, the road was reopened after one of the two large rocks was removed and the landslide was cleared. He said the road reopened around 2:15 pm.

An excavator and backhoe loader from Manang Marsyangdi Hydropower were used to clear the road. After the road reopened, foreign and domestic tourists who had come on the Annapurna Circuit Trek as well as other passengers have started walking towards their destinations.
