One person died and five others were injured in a jeep accident on the inner road section of Aanbugaun, Aanbukhaireni Rural Municipality-3, Tanahun, on Wednesday evening. The deceased has been identified as Pushpalal Shrestha, 31, of Ichchakamana Rural Municipality-5, Chitwan, according to the district police.

Shrestha, who was seriously injured in the accident, died during treatment at the Aanbukhaireni Hospital, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Shravan Kumar BK. Five people injured in the accident are being treated at the same hospital. 

The driver of the jeep (Se1Cha 651) coming from Chimkeshwari towards Aanbukhaireni lost control and overturned on the road. There were 11 people in the jeep.

The injured are Domaya Gurung, 20, of Ichchakamana Rural Municipality-2, Jit Bahadur Gurung, 26, Bhawana Gurung, 16, Achit Gurung, 25, of Kalika Municipality-8, Chitwan. Police have said that the driver and five other passengers are safe.
