Construction of Kirat cultural stove house in Halesi

A Kirat cultural hearth has been built in the world-famous Halesi. The hearth has been built in front of the Basahaguffa cave in Halesi, known as a tri-religious site for Hindus, Buddhists, and Kirats.

According to Kamal Giri, spokesperson of Halesi Tuwachung Municipality and ward chairman of Ward No. 7 Mahadevsthan, the DPR and foundation of the building were constructed with a budget of Rs. 1.5 million from Halesi Tuwachung Municipality in the fiscal year 2075/76 and with a budget of Rs. 3 million from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation in the fiscal year 2081/82.

‘Halesi is a place known as the confluence of historical tri-religious sites, where the Hindu deity Haleshwor Mahadev, the Buddhist Guru Padmasambhava, worshipped for a long time, and as the origin of the Kiratis,’ Giri said. ‘That is why the Kirati Chula Ghar (Mangkhim) was built there. Pilgrims and tourists from all over the world will be able to observe the cultural Chula Ghar of the Kiratis.’

Giri said that the building was constructed from stone, mud, mud, wood, etc., keeping in mind its mythological and archaeological significance. Giri also said that there was some delay in the construction of the stove due to a dispute over the land. "Initially, there was some dispute over the land, but the dispute was resolved and the building was constructed thanks to the initiative of the people's representatives," Giri said.
