On the occasion of National Tax Day-2082, the Inland Revenue Office Pokhara has honored one outstanding taxpayer each from Kaski and Syangja. Among the taxpayers who paid the highest tax, RKD Holdings from Kaski and Khilungkalika Construction Pvt. Ltd. from Syangja were honored.

Ramchandra Sharma, the director of RKD Holdings, a respected taxpayer, stressed that the state should provide more support to new entrepreneurs. He said that although paying taxes is not a big challenge, there is a need to improve financial literacy. He also demanded that the tax payment system be unified as it is divided in many places.
As of mid-Kartik, 69,806 taxpayers have registered under the Internal Revenue Office Pokhara to take commercial permanent account numbers. Out of which, 12,869 are registered for value-added tax and 4,542 for excise duty. Similarly, the number of taxpayers taking personal permanent account numbers has reached 218,129.
