One person died in a motorcycle accident in Ghansikuwa, Byas Municipality-12, Tanahun along the Prithvi Highway. The deceased in the accident that occurred on Thursday has been identified as 19-year-old Jagat Bache Magar of Bhadgaun, Byas Municipality-1, according to police.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Shravan Kumar Bik, the motorcycle driver, 20-year-old Nijin Malla of Byas-13 Belbas, was injured in the accident. He is currently under police custody.
Magar, who was seriously injured when a motorcycle (Ga23Pa 9542) heading from Damauli to Dumre lost control and crashed, was declared dead by doctors at the Provincial Hospital in Damauli.
The District Police Office has stated that further investigation into the accident is underway.
