Police have stated that a mini truck coming from Dulegonda towards Khairenitar hit a 37-year-old woman who was crossing the road.

A woman died in a road accident on Sunday evening in Bel Chautara, Shuklagandaki Municipality-5, along the Prithvi Highway.
Police said that a minitruck (Ga1Ka1845) coming from Dulegaudha to Kharenitar hit 37-year-old Devi Tiwari Poudel, who was crossing the road. Tiwari, who was seriously injured in the collision, was immediately taken to the GP Koirala National Respiratory Treatment Center for treatment.
Police said that doctors declared her dead at around 7 pm during treatment. After the accident, the police have taken the minitruck and the driver into custody and are conducting further investigation.
