Police have stated that a girl who was seriously injured after being hit by a moving jeep in Kholasothar Rural Municipality-1 has died during treatment in Besisahar.
A girl has died after being hit by a jeep in Baglungpani, Kholasothar Rural Municipality-1, Lamjung.
According to the police, 2-year-old Nerima Tamang of the same place died after being hit by a moving jeep.
A jeep (Ga1J 6306) coming from Kholasothar Rural Municipality-3, Ghalegaun towards the district headquarters Besisahar hit the girl around 9 am on Friday. The seriously injured girl was brought to the Provincial Hospital in Besisahar for treatment by the same jeep.
The girl was declared dead by doctors at around 10:35 am during treatment, said Police Inspector Gyanendra Chhetri, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Lamjung.
The jeep and the jeep driver, Madan Dulal, 29, of Besisahar Municipality-9, Bimda Bensi, have been taken into custody by the police. The police have said that an investigation into the accident is underway. The girl's body has been kept at the hospital for an autopsy, according to the police.
