DSP Basnet said that further investigation has been initiated against the six arrested people.
A young man has been arrested for stealing a motorcycle from the Traffic Police Office in Pokhara, taking advantage of the Gen-G movement. A team from the Ward Police Office, Baidam, Kaski, arrested 24-year-old Subash Tamang, a resident of Dobilla, Pokhara Metropolitan City-17.
He had stolen a black X-Pulse motorcycle bearing number Ga 16 Pa 1455, which was kept for action at the District Traffic Police Office, Kaski, in Nayabazar, Pokhara, on Bhadra 24. The police arrested him after receiving information that he was driving the stolen motorcycle.
Similarly, the police have also arrested 5 other people involved in the theft of 3 scooters. A police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Shishuwa, Kaski and the Ward Police Office, Rambazar arrested them.
They were arrested along with the stolen scooters bearing numbers Ga 9 Pa 8761, Ga 15 Pa 5237 and Ga 4 Pa 7684, said DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Kaski.
The arrested are Sher Bahadur Pun Magar, 21, of Pokhara-33, Ajay Nepali, 25, of Pokhara-5, Sushil Gurung, 21, of Pokhara-10, Sudip Pariyar, 20, of Pokhara-11, and Roshan Pariyar, 27, of Pokhara-13. DSP Basnet said that further investigation has been initiated against the six arrested people.
