During the protests on Bhadra 23 and 24, 31 police offices in Gandaki Province were damaged. Of these, Kaski Police suffered the most damage. Three large police units here were completely damaged. Provincial Police Chief DIG Dinesh Kumar Acharya said that all the damaged offices have been restored. “All the damaged offices have been restored. Weapons and uniforms have also been replenished,” he said. He said that the issue of how to address the personal losses of police personnel remains. He said that work is underway to arrest those who vandalized and set on fire police offices and prisons.
The District Police Office, Kaski, has been actively taking action against those who vandalized and set fire to the police office. He was in the custody of the Ward Police Office, Bagar, on a case related to indecent behavior and had escaped from there and was involved in arson, vandalism and weapons robbery at the Nayapul Police Post.
26-year-old Bivas Jalari, a resident of Gharipatan, Pokhara Metropolitan City-7, has been arrested on charges of theft at the Ward Police Office, Baidam. On Bhadra 24, he had escaped from the Kaski Prison Office and reached Baidam Police Office to steal. He had stolen a Canon camera and an NS Pulsar motorcycle. Before going to steal, he was imprisoned in the Kaski Prison on a case of attempted murder.
