Nepal Police in Kaski have purchased a motorcycle with money collected from playing Deusi-Bhailo during this year's Tihar festival.
Ward Police Office Baidam organized a Deusi on the premises of the office on Kartik 3, the day of Laxmi Puja. Rs 221,514 was collected from the program. In addition to this, a motorcycle was purchased for office purposes for Rs 224,970, said DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet, Information Officer of the District Police Office Kaski.
The police purchased a Bajaj Platina brand motorcycle. Kaski Police Chief SP Navin Karki handed over the motorcycle to DSP Namraj Bhattarai of the Ward Police Office Baidam on Monday.
Chief District Officer Rudra Devi Sharma, SP Karki, ward chairmen of various wards of Pokhara, chairmen of community service centers, local social workers, businessmen, and others participated in the Deusi-Bhailo program. The police purchased the motorcycle with the money collected from them.
