Traffic on the East-West Highway has been halted since Saturday evening after a vehicle carrying soil got stuck in Daunne along the Mahendra Highway.
According to the district police, the Daunne road section was blocked in both directions at 6:30 pm on Saturday due to a vehicle getting stuck near Dhyu Khola.
The highway was blocked due to a goods vehicle (Ba Pra 03 001 Kha 2158) heading from Dumkibas to Bardaghat getting stuck. Due to the blockage of the Daunne road section, the police have stopped the goods vehicle and long vehicle going from Narayangadh to Butwal at Kawasoti. Police have stated that the Daunne road became slippery due to rain and the vehicle got stuck there.
