A team of Baidam Police has arrested 26-year-old Bivas Jalari, a resident of Gharipatan, Pokhara Metropolitan City-7. He had escaped from the Kaski Prison Office and reached the Baidam Police Office to steal. He had stolen a Canon camera and an NS Pulsar motorcycle. He was being held in the Kaski Prison on a murder case.
Office Chief DSP Namraj Bhattarai said that he stole the camera and motorcycle when no one was there. "There was no one in the office for half an hour, an hour. The theft happened at that time," he said.
DSP Hari Bahadur Basnet, Information Officer of the District Police Office, Kaski, said that the bike stolen by Jalari was found without a number plate.
Investigation has been started against him on Friday by extending his remand in a criminal nuisance case by six days.
