A prisoner who escaped from Bhimphedi Prison in Makawanpur amid the situation arising after the Gen-G movement has been killed in Gaindakot, East Nawalparasi.

According to information provided by Nawalparasi SP Yubaraj Khadka, a group of 7-8 people murdered 28-year-old Narayan Kumal on Friday. The deceased is a resident of Kalika Municipality-4, Padampur, Chitwan. SP Khadka informed that 5 people have been arrested and an investigation is underway on charges of involvement in the murder.

Kumal had escaped from Bhimphedi Jail along with other prisoners on Bhadra 24. The court had sentenced him to 10 years in prison and a fine of Rs 35,000 for rape. He was arrested by the police on Shrawan 3, 2074.
